Privacy Policy

Telara Inc. is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data.

Data Protection

Your data is encrypted at rest and in transit with industry-leading security.

Privacy-First

We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only as described below.

Your Control

You can manage connections and request access, correction, export, or deletion.

Information We Collect

We collect and process the following categories of information when you, your organization, or an authorized integration provides it to Telara:

  • Account and organization information: name, work email, company, role, authentication details, profile information, tenant and workspace identifiers, and account settings.
  • Connected-service data: content and metadata from the company systems you choose to connect, such as documents, issues, repositories, messages, records, links, permissions, and source-system identifiers. The exact data depends on the integration and scopes you authorize.
  • Prompts and agent activity: requests, tool inputs and outputs, search results, task records, checkpoints, approval decisions, action status, and related audit records.
  • Credentials and connection data: OAuth grants and tokens, integration configuration, scopes, and connection status. Secrets are stored using protected credential systems and are not intentionally written into ordinary application logs.
  • Usage, device, and security data: feature interactions, timestamps, IP address, browser or device information, diagnostics, performance data, and authentication and security events.
  • Communications: support requests, feedback, sales communications, and other information you send to us.

How We Use Your Information

We use this information to:

  • authenticate users, operate workspaces, retrieve authorized knowledge, run requested tools and actions, and return results;
  • apply your organization's access, approval, and governance rules;
  • maintain integrations, troubleshoot failures, monitor reliability, and secure the service;
  • provide support and communicate about service, security, billing, and policy changes;
  • understand and improve product performance and user experience, subject to applicable settings and agreements; and
  • comply with law, enforce our agreements, and prevent fraud, abuse, or harm.

Data Security

Telara uses technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, authentication procedures, logging, and security testing. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only as needed for the purposes above:

  • Your connected services: when you ask Telara to read from or take an action in an authorized company system.
  • Service providers: infrastructure, hosting, storage, security, analytics, support, communications, and model providers that process information for us under contractual restrictions. The providers involved depend on your organization's deployment and configuration.
  • Your organization: authorized workspace members and administrators may access workspace content, connection status, approval and audit records, and account information according to their roles.
  • Legal and safety recipients: regulators, courts, law enforcement, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights, security, and safety.
  • Business transfers: a buyer, successor, or adviser in a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.

Data Retention

We retain account, workspace, connected-service, prompt, task, and operational data while the relevant account, workspace, or connection is active and for as long as needed to provide the service. Retention may also depend on your organization's configuration and agreement with Telara.

OAuth access credentials are retained until they expire, are revoked, or the connection is removed; refresh credentials are retained until revoked, rotated, or deleted. Current service data and audit records may otherwise remain stored until an authorized administrator or user requests deletion. We may retain security, fraud-prevention, transaction, legal, and audit records for longer when needed to comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or protect the service. Residual copies in backups are removed as those backups age out under the applicable backup schedule.

When you request deletion, we verify the request and delete or de-identify information that we are not required or permitted to retain. If information cannot be deleted immediately or must be retained, we will explain the applicable limitation or timing.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Telara Inc. uses cookies and similar storage to operate the service:

  • Essential session cookies: authentication and session tokens required to keep you signed in across Telara application hosts. These are necessary for the service and are not used for advertising.
  • Preference storage: local settings such as theme or UI state may be stored in the browser.
  • Product analytics (opt-in): on the authenticated product app, anonymous or pseudonymous product analytics (for example PostHog) run only after you enable analytics in settings, and only on the production app host. Analytics default to off. Desktop builds do not enable this analytics path.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the marketing site. For questions about cookies, contact privacy@telara.dev.

Your Controls

You and your organization can limit the information Telara processes by choosing which systems and scopes to connect, disconnecting an integration, revoking an OAuth grant, limiting tool permissions, and using approval controls for actions. Workspace administrators may also manage membership, policies, and connected systems.

Depending on your location, you may request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of personal information, or ask us to restrict or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. These rights may be limited by applicable law, security requirements, your organization's instructions, or our need to retain certain records.

Your Rights and Choices

To exercise a privacy right, ask a question, or request information about the retention schedule that applies to your workspace, contact privacy@telara.dev. California residents can also use our Privacy choices page (Do Not Sell or Share). We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with your organization's administrator before acting on workspace-controlled data.

Google User Data

When you sign in to Telara using Google Sign-In (OAuth 2.0), we access your basic profile information including your name, email address, and profile picture. This information is used solely to create and maintain your Telara account.

Google Sign-In by itself does not grant Telara access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar, or other Google services. If you separately connect a Google service, Telara accesses and processes only the data covered by the scopes shown on that connection's consent screen, for the purposes described in this policy and your organization's configuration. You can revoke that connection through Telara or your Google account.

Telara's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through our platform or via email. If you have questions or concerns about our Privacy Policy or data practices, please contact us.
